The Applicant must follow the following process:
Enter your valid license or registration number to access the FoSCoS portal. |
Select the option "Apply for Renewal in License/Registration" from the renewal section. |
Applications for license/registration renewals may be submitted as early as 180 days prior to the expiry date stated on the license. |
Proceed with the license renewal if the current details have not changed. |
The FBO must self-certify that they are in conformity with the items on the inspection checklist. |
Pay the amount based on the number of years the renewal is needed. FSSAI license can be renewed for 1 year up to a maximum of 5 years at a time. |
Following the foregoing procedure, an instant renewal of the FSSAI license will be given. |

According to regulations, in order to avoid paying a late charge for license renewal, a renewal must be filed no later than 30 days before the license expires. The license renewal charge is increased by a late fee of Rs. 100 per day. That is to say, if you apply for renewal on the day before it expires, the license renewal charge will be increased by a late fee of Rs. 100 x 30 = Rs. 3000.
