Integrated Pharmaceutical Database Management System 2.0 (IPDMS 2.0) and the Pharma SahiDaam 2.0 App Launched On the Silver Jubilee Celebration of NPPA
NPPA just launched IPDMS 2.0 portal and as well as the Pharma Sahidaam 2.0 Application for the price regulation of drugs and medical devices in India on29th August 2022. It will offer an integrated platform for submissions in various forms as required by the Drug Price Control Order, 2013. NPPA assures the availability of low-cost drugs without jeopardizing the industry’s interest.

Integrated Pharmaceutical Database Management System 2.0 (IPDMS 2.0) is an integrated and interconnected cloud-based software. It was developed by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, with technical assistance from C-DAC (Centre for Advance Computing)
IPDMS 2.0 is designed to maximize synergies across operations to help the Government to focus on “Ease of Doing Business”. Additionally, it will provide one place to submit submissions of all forms required under the Drug Price Control Order (DPCO) 2013. It’s also a step towards “Paperless Governance that would also facilitate paperless operations of NPPA. Additionally advantages, it will enable participants to get connected to the National Pharma Pricing Regulator from across the nation.
At the same time, Pharma SahiDaam 2.0 App is also announced . It is updated with features such as speech recognition, availability both in Hindi and English sharing button, and bookmarking medications. In addition, the latest app is also able of taking complaints from consumers using the consumer complaints handling module. The app will be available in both iOS as well as Android versions.
Pharma SahiDaam is an online search tool to verify the prices of Scheduled and non-scheduled medicines immediately when you purchase medications and also for finding alternatives. It is possible to make online complaints for overpricing of medicine, non-availability and sale of new medicines without prior approval from the NPPA, and the refusal to supply or sell any medicine using the application.
