On 31 Aug 2022, FSSAI notified about the submission of the applications under the FSS (Approval for Non-specified Food and Food Ingredients) Regulation, 2017 through a newly operationalised online portal called ePASS (electronic Product and Claim Approval Application System) effective from 1 Oct 2022.
In order to offer convenience and increase transparency in business operations dealings with stakeholders, FSSAI has operationalized an online portal called ePASS (electronic Product and Claim Approval Application System). ePAAS facilitates FBOs to submit the application and requisite fees and helps them track the application status online. In this regard, FSSAI urges all FBOs seeking approvals under NSF regulations to send their applications solely through the ePAAS portal. The Authority will reject any applications sent via other means such as emails or post. These rules have been approved by the Competent Authority and are effective from 1 Oct 2022.
