The Central Drugs & Standards Control Organisation (CDSCO) has enhanced its online Medical Devices system to enable automatic issuance of Market Standing Certificates (MSC) and Non‑Conviction Certificates (NCC) for licensed medical devices. Applications submitted under the previous workflow will be rejected. Stakeholders are advised to reapply through the upgraded portal effective immediately, facilitating streamlined compliance and improved ease of doing business.
On 09 April 2025, the CDSCO implemented a significant enhancement to the Online System for Medical Devices, introducing a new automated workflow for generating Market Standing Certificates (MSC) and Non‑Conviction Certificates (NCC) for devices licensed by the Central Licensing Authority.
This upgrade aims to streamline regulatory processes, reduce processing times and facilitate ease of doing business for manufacturers and importers. Consequently, all MSC and NCC applications lodged under the legacy workflow will be automatically rejected by the system.
To avoid disruption, stakeholders must submit fresh applications via the updated portal from the date of this notice. The auto‑generation mechanism ensures certificates are issued promptly upon verification of eligibility, eliminating manual intervention and potential delays.
