The CBN has launched their online portal for simplifying the process of businesses to obtain various licenses such as manufacturing licenses, import/export certificates etc. As of now, they have set up a temporary portal through which applicants can educate themselves on their registration and application process, following which a virtual workshop will be conducted for gathering applicant feedback. Based on the feedback provided, CBN will upgrade their fully functional website. This portal will immensely benefit CBN and the applicants for their licensing processes.
• As India is one of the largest exporters of controlled drugs around the world, the CBN has digitized their services by launching their online cloud-based portal which will act as a single interface for all their licensing requirements. Businesses will now be able to easily obtain various licenses such as manufacturing license, import/export certificate, opium cultivation licenses, quota allocations etc. • As of now, the CBN has just set up a temporary staging link, by which applicants can educate themselves on the registration and licensing processes. They will also conduct a virtual workshop for gathering feedback from stakeholders about their portal. Based on the feedback and reviews provided, they will upgrade their website into a fully functional portal, through which applicants will have to register themselves and then apply for their respective licensing. • This initiative by CBN has come with great benefits as applicants can now apply for their licenses without time and location constraints. Applications can be tracked easily, and their processing time will also be greatly reduced.
