The CDSCO has issued a circular to streamline cosmetics registration and import on the SUGAM portal. Effective August 16, 2024, applicants are limited to 50 products per online application. Multiple applications can be made. This change aims to expedite the processing and disposal of applications within the stipulated timeframe as outlined in the Cosmetics Rules, 2020. All stakeholders are requested to take note of this modification for future submissions on the SUGAM online portal. In order to further streamline the process, the CDSCO has decided to restrict the number of products to a maximum of fifty per single online application. Multiple applications can be made to register more than fifty products. This change aims to expedite the processing and disposal of applications within the stipulated timeframe as outlined in the Cosmetics Rules, 2020. The said restriction will be implemented w.e.f 16th August 2024. All stakeholders are requested to take note of this modification for future submissions on the SUGAM online portal.
