On February 12, 2024, the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) of India published a notice for all stakeholders in the medical device industry. The Online System of Medical Devices portal (https://cdscomdonline.gov.in) is now functional for issuance of Neutral Code to applicants for manufacturing Medical Devices for export purposes. In order to apply for Neutral Code, applicants must follow the checklist provided on the application portal. Under Medical Devices Rules,2017, the Central Licensing Authority will issue the Neutral Code to the manufacturer. It is requested that all stakeholders submit applications related to Neutral Code through the Online System of Medical Devices portal only.(https://cdscomdonline.gov.in).
