A sanitary import permit may be applied for by an individual or importer who is in the business of selling and marketing various livestock products and who has a valid Import Export Code (IEC), as well as by industries that require it for further processing.
The Applicant must follow the following process:
Sign up on the SIP website. Choose "New Importer Registration," fill out all the contact information (user ID, password, email address, IE code, One Time Password (OTP), and upload the IEC document), and then click "Submit." |
After logging in, click on the apply online button, fill out Form A or B, and upload any supporting documentation or the catalog. |
You can use the online payment gateway to make a payment of Rs. 300. |
Once your application has been approved, your SIP will be uploaded to the internet and will be available for one-time printing only. |
In regards to missing paperwork, a catalog, or a copy of any certificate, the Department will send a letter on the registered mail ID. |
