Guidelines for submission of applications for endorsement of vegan logo and formats

Official notification was issued by FSSAI on 6th March 2023 regarding the revised guidelines for submission of applications for endorsement of vegan logo and formats.

The notification notifies that the food authorities have revised the following guidelines are provided for application for endorsement of vegan logo and formats:

1. Annexure A: Guidelines for submission of applications for endorsement of vegan logo
2. Annexure B: Application for endorsement under FSS (Vegan Foods) Regulation, 2022 (Form A)
3. Annexure C: Approval or rejection for endorsement of vegan logo (Form B)
4. Annexure D: Proforma for self-declaration

The guidelines of Annexure A are as follows:

1. FBO shall submit Form A with necessary document and a fee of Rs 25,000 (excluding GST) online through e-payment portal.
2. Food authorities will thoroughly check the documents and information provided by the applicant. They may ask for more details, if requied. Based on it, they either grant approval or reject the application as per Form B.
3. FBO who is aggrieved by the decision may file a review petition to the CEO of food authority within 30 days from the date of issue of appelate order.
