Indian Pharmacopoeia 2026- Amendment Lists

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has issued Amendment List 01 to the Indian Pharmacopoeia 2026. The amendment introduces revisions to several monographs based on scientific inputs received after publication of the 10th Edition of IP 2026. Key updates include corrections to analytical procedures, related substances testing, preparation of reference solutions, and specifications involving Indian Pharmacopoeia Reference Standards (IPRS). Several Aciclovir-related monographs have been updated to specify precise quantities of impurity reference standards, thereby improving method reproducibility and clarity. The amendment becomes effective from 1 July 2026, except for certain specified monographs that have separate implementation dates.
