The Global Food Regulators Summit 2025 concluded in New Delhi with Union MoS Shri Prataprao Jadhav delivering the valedictory address. The summit emphasised food as a foundation for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, reinforced international collaboration in food safety, and recognised FSSAI’s training of over 3 lakh street food vendors through programs like Eat Right India. Delegates from 70+ countries and global organizations participated to strengthen inclusive, resilient, and transparent food systems.


The two-day Global Food Regulators Summit 2025, hosted by FSSAI under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, concluded at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. In his valedictory address, Union MoS for Health Shri Prataprao Jadhav highlighted the summit’s theme, “Yatha Annam Tatha Manah”, emphasising the vital connection between diet and physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.


Key points include:

  1. Shri Jadhav acknowledged the role of scientific research, innovation, and global regulatory harmonization in advancing public health. He praised FSSAI for its capacity-building initiatives, including training over 3 lakh street food vendors nationwide and implementing the Eat Right India programs, demonstrating alignment of traditional food practices with modern safety standards.
  2. The summit hosted participants from more than 70 countries and international organizations, fostering discussions on digital surveillance, risk management, obesity prevention, strategic public-private engagement, and international cooperation.
  3. Parallel sessions included CEO Conclave on Responsible Food Systems, Ambassadors’ Conclave, and a FSSAI–WHO Masterclass on food safety frameworks, Codex, and risk assessment.
  4. FSSAI CEO Shri Rajit Punhani emphasised building resilient, transparent, and future-ready food systems through collective action.
