Union Health Minister Shri J P Nadda inaugurated the third Global Food Regulators Summit 2025 in New Delhi, organized by FSSAI under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The summit, themed “Yatha Annam Tatha Manah”, highlighted the link between food, physical and mental health, obesity prevention, and food safety. The event also marked the launch of FSSAI’s ‘Eat Right Thali’ book, celebrating India’s culinary heritage and balanced diets, with participation from 59 countries and global organizations including WHO and WTO.
The third Global Food Regulators Summit 2025 was inaugurated by Union Health Minister Shri J P Nadda at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, under the aegis of FSSAI and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

- The summit’s theme, “Yatha Annam Tatha Manah” (as is the food, so is the mind), emphasised the critical role of food in physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
- Shri Nadda addressed pressing challenges such as obesity and unhealthy diets, echoing Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call to reduce edible oil consumption. He highlighted FSSAI’s Eat Right India initiative, integrating food safety, nutrition, and sustainability. By emphasising the global importance of food safety, he also noted that lapses can affect public health, trade, and trust, making platforms like the summit crucial for international collaboration.
- The summit also saw the launch of the ‘Eat Right Thali’ book, showcasing India’s diverse culinary heritage and promoting balanced, traditional diets as preventive health measures. 59 countries participated, alongside organizations like WHO and WTO, discussing global regulatory harmonisation, sustainable food systems, and traditional foods in compliance with global standards.
