NPPA has fixed retail prices of 28 formulations under Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 based on the decision of 138th Authority meeting dated 30.10.2025

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has fixed retail prices for 28 drug formulations under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. The formulations include combinations containing Amlodipine, Valsartan, Dapagliflozin, Sitagliptin, Metformin, Empagliflozin, Linagliptin, Levocetirizine, Montelukast, Metoprolol, Telmisartan, Mefenamic Acid, Paracetamol, Pantoprazole, Glimepiride, Cilnidipine, Chlorthalidone, Hydrochlorothiazide, Theophylline, Amoxicillin, Clavulanate, and Povidone Iodine. Manufacturers must comply with the notified rates, display updated price lists, and follow DPCO guidelines to prevent overcharging.


The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Department of Pharmaceuticals, has issued an order fixing the retail prices of 28 drug formulations under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order (DPCO), 2013.


Key points include:

  1. The list covers multiple therapeutic categories, including antihypertensives (Amlodipine, Valsartan, Telmisartan, Cilnidipine, Metoprolol, Chlorthalidone, Hydrochlorothiazide), antidiabetics (Dapagliflozin, Sitagliptin, Linagliptin, Teneligliptin, Empagliflozin, Metformin, Glimepiride), analgesics and antipyretics (Paracetamol, Mefenamic Acid, Caffeine), respiratory and antiallergic agents (Levocetirizine, Montelukast, Theophylline), gastrointestinal agents (Pantoprazole, Alginate Suspension), antibiotics (Amoxicillin, Potassium Clavulanate), and antiseptics (Povidone Iodine).
  2. Prices are exclusive of GST and apply only to manufacturers/marketers who submitted Form-I applications and hold valid manufacturing licenses.
  3. Manufacturers must publish price lists in Form-V, submit them via IPDMS to NPPA and State Drug Controllers, and ensure retailers display them prominently.
  4. Any non-compliance or overcharging will invite recovery with interest under DPCO, 2013 and the Essential Commodities Act, 1955.
  5. Previous price orders for the same formulations now stand superseded.
