NPPA Revises Retail Price for Paracetamol Combination Suspension
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has revised the retail price of a specified Paracetamol combination suspension under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, following implementation of a Department of Pharmaceuticals review order. The formulation contains Paracetamol, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate and Menthol, with a retail price of ₹0.70 per ml.
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has issued an order revising the retail price of a specified pharmaceutical formulation following directions contained in a review order issued by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013.
Key points include:
- Fixes the retail price of Paracetamol, Phenylephrine HCl, Chlorpheniramine Maleate, Ammonium Chloride, Sodium Citrate and Menthol Suspension at ₹0.70 per ml, excluding GST.
- Each 5 ml contains Paracetamol IP 250 mg, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride IP 5 mg, Chlorpheniramine Maleate IP 2 mg, Ammonium Chloride IP 120 mg, Sodium Citrate IP 60 mg and Menthol IP 1 mg.
- The specified manufacturer and marketing company are M/s Windlas Biotech Limited / M/s Biological E. Limited.
- The manufacturer may add GST where it has actually paid or is liable to pay GST on the notified price.
- The manufacturer must issue the price list in Form V through IPDMS to NPPA and provide copies to the State Drug Controller and dealers.
- Retailers and dealers must prominently display the applicable price list.
