The NPPA has extended the ceiling prices for Orthopaedic Knee Implants under the Knee Replacement System for one more year, effective from 15th November 2025 to 15th November 2026, or until further orders. This extension continues the provisions of the original notification S.O. 2668(E), dated 16th August 2017, along with its notes.
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has issued an order (S.O. 5190(E)) dated 14th November 2025, extending the ceiling prices for Orthopaedic Knee Implants used in Knee Replacement Systems.
Initially notified via S.O. 2668(E) on 16th August 2017, and subsequently extended multiple times, the latest extension (S.O. 4171(E)) was valid until 15th November 2025. This new order prolongs the ceiling price enforcement for an additional year, up to 15th November 2026, or until further notice.
All notes (b) to (t) from the original notification remain applicable during this period, ensuring continued price regulation for affordability and accessibility.
