Office Memorandum: Knee Implant Data Collection through IPDMS 2.0 Portal

The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, has issued an Office Memorandum directing manufacturers and importers of knee implants for Total Knee Replacement Systems to furnish detailed orthopedic knee implant data through the Knee Implant Data Collection module on the IPDMS 2.0 Portal. The initiative is intended to facilitate data collection and regulatory oversight of medical devices in the knee implant segment. Stakeholders are required to submit the requested information in the prescribed Excel format through the portal and additionally send the completed data by email to medicaldevices-nppa@gov.in. The memorandum specifies that the information must reach NPPA no later than 30 September 2026. Industry associations have also been requested to disseminate the communication among their member companies and ensure compliance with the directive.
